Comfortable and quiet room. Amazing service and breakfast in the hotel dining room. Logan was also very accommodating in the restaurant. They all deserve 5☆. Customer service dept was a swing and a miss. Didn't do a single thing for us after they asked us twice if there was anything they could do. Once was from Douglas the GM. 2nd was from Alicia the Guest experience expert. Did not expect this high end property.

Very historic hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego. There’s so much history here, I recommend the tour behind some of the scenes (our guide was Lee Ann who did a FANTASTIC job showing us around—thanks so much!) There are lots of stories to learn about and things to see here. The food in the Grant Grill was really good, as was the service. The valet service was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the valet drivers were great and came out to assist, but they were just as likely to stand around staring at us. The room we got was very nice, with a view of the condemned and graffiti’d California Theater and planes landing at Lindbergh. The housekeeping service was terrible, with amenities missed every day (we got tired of calling), and a degrading of towel quality day-by-day (we went from beautiful fluffy towels at the beginning to decades-old towels that wouldn’t have passed inspection in my high school locker room—just sad.) We also had trash from our room outside our door for 3 days—I mean, really?! One more problem in the room was the shower—the temperature was constantly changing to too hot or too cold. It never stayed at a set temperature. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our stay and kind of absorbed some of the history that is a part of the hotel and area. I’d like to give 5*, but the problems knocked off a star. We’d have to know these problems were taken care of before staying again. A special shout out to Lee Ann for her job well done. Thanks! 😎👍🏼

Truly a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I were here on our honeymoon, and it was a great experience. We took a small tour of the place (weekdays at 4:30 I think!), the two tour guides were a delight, cheerful and knowledgeable. The service was impeccable, rooms were perfect. Will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.

We called and they gave us one so it wasn't a big deal. In one of our rooms the mini fridge didn't work and in the other the AC wasn't the best but manageable. We also ordered room service at one point and got the wrong thing. We asked for just regular cheese burgers but ended up with bacon burgers instead. We didn't complain though because they turned out to be really good. I also felt very safe here. You can't go into an elevator unless you have a room key with you. Everyone working there was incredibly nice. I loved our room and my stay. Just a few bumps in the road but I didn't mind them. Would 100% stay here again. Também pedimos serviço de quarto em um ponto e recebemos a coisa errada. Pedimos apenas hambúrgueres regulares de queijo, mas acabamos com hambúrgueres de bacon. Nós não reclamamos porque eles acabaram sendo muito bons. Eu também me senti muito seguro aqui. Você não pode entrar em um elevador a menos que tenha uma chave do quarto com você. Todo mundo que trabalhava lá era incrivelmente bom. Adorei nosso quarto e minha estadia. Apenas alguns solavancos na estrada, mas eu não me importei com eles. 100% ficaria aqui novamente.

The rooms actually look like they do in their advertising pictures.Comfy bed, quite spacious, nice spacious bathroom with nice amenities.Service is a bit over the top, I'm 30, so I've never been called 'sir' that many times in one conversation in my life.The bottle of water at checkout for the road was a nice touch, a small, but helpful nice gesture. But I think those little things is what makes a luxury hotel.

We stayed here during Comic Con 2022 and had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Everyone that we encountered that worked there were so nice and helpful. We had a really great breakfast one morning and enjoyed the lounge in the evening.The hotel itself was situated close to everything in the Gaslamp and about 15 minute walk to the convention center. There were also a few cafes really close for a quick breakfast on our way in the morning.The hotel was so nice to come back to each night. It was quiet and the room was so comfortable. The bed was amazing and I loved the toiletries.I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Ficamos aqui durante a Comic Con 2022 e tivemos um tempo maravilhoso. O hotel em si é lindo. Todos que encontramos que trabalharam lá foram muito simpáticos e prestativos. Tivemos um ótimo café-da-manhã uma manhã e apreciamos o lounge à noite.O próprio hotel estava situado perto de tudo no Gaslamp e cerca de 15 minutos a pé do centro de convenções. Havia também alguns cafés muito perto para um café da manhã rápido no nosso caminho pela manhã.O hotel foi tão bom para voltar a cada noite. Estava quieto e o quarto era tão confortável. A cama era incrível e eu amei os artigos de toalete.Com certeza, ficaria aqui novamente em um piscar de olhos.

When greeted at the front desk, she was so disconnected from providing any good customer service. Being short with her words and avoiding eye contact was very concerning. She forcefully change the credit card on file used to book the hotel room because the card holder was not present. Even after calling in advance to ensure a smooth check in process. There is so much more to be added about the service at this property, it is just not worth my time. Neither should it be yours to visit this property. If you are looking for a luxury hotel experience… Avoid this property. Wow apenas wow. Nunca fui tão mal atendido em nenhum hotel. Molly na recepção foi além de não gentil. Tratei minha família com o mínimo de respeito possível. Quando recebida na recepção, ela estava tão desconectada de fornecer qualquer bom atendimento ao cliente. Ser curto com suas palavras e evitar contato visual era muito preocupante. Ela mudou à força o cartão de crédito em arquivo usado para reservar o quarto de hotel porque o titular do cartão não estava presente. Mesmo depois de ligar com antecedência para garantir um processo de check-in tranquilo. Há muito mais a ser adicionado sobre o serviço nesta propriedade, simplesmente não vale o meu tempo. Loved this place. Get ready to be treated with excellent service. The rooms are well designed. Enjoyed the comfortable bed and the bathroom was very clean. There is only valet parking on site. It is located within walking distance to many restaurants. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Bagel in the morning with coffee was a great way to start the day Adorei este lugar. Prepare-se para ser tratado com um excelente serviço. Os quartos são bem projetados. Gostei da cama confortável e o banheiro era muito limpo. Há apenas estacionamento com manobrista no local. The hotel is beautiful and has great history. The beds/pillows are very comfortable. The bathrooms could use some updating. The homeless problem downtown San Diego is eye opening, so if you're looking to go out anywhere (and be safe) I'd recommend going to Coronado (8 minute drive). Also, the check in process was really entertaining. The receptionist had it down to a T and was super professional. For how old the elevators are, they're really fast and the wait time is less than 10 seconds. O hotel é lindo e tem uma grande história. As camas/travesseiros são muito confortáveis. O problema dos sem-teto no centro de San Diego é revelador, então se você quer sair para qualquer lugar (e estar seguro), eu recomendo ir para Coronado (8 minutos de carro). I have never experienced such horrible service from front desk staff. We booked three rooms for three nights and ended up cancelling when we got there. The lady at the front desk, Alex, told us upon arrival that our reservation rate wasn’t valid (which was booked through Marriott and valid at every hotel we have stayed at in the past 8 years).She didn’t even offer or care to help resolve the situation. The manager came, and I couldn’t listen to his excuses at that point. When your front desk staff treats guest like that, it’s a reflection of poor leadership skills. This hotel was a stop for us on a long trip, and it was the only hotel I could say anything bad about out. It was absolutely terrible!The inside of the hotel was nice, but the surrounding area wasn’t great. We are on a big family trip and it ended up working out in our favor as we found a beautiful hotel near downtown La Jolla right by the ocean. It was only 15 min away with a lot more to do there. There are so many better options within a 10 mile radius that offer staff that actually care about their guest.
