“Decent resort on Koh Samui for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, during COVID times there’s a noticeable reduction of food options which was not communicated beforehand. The pictures show nice buffets and all, but you currently can only choose from some set menu‘s. We’ve escaped to SALA next door which offered great alternatives, because their own restaurant „Prego“ (which is good) is closed 3 days a week (…). There’s currently ongoing (noisy) renovations in the Thai wing on the other side of the road where we’ve been put first before we paid for an upgrade (beach side). Renovations are great and important, but a free upgrade to avoid this would’ve been appreciated in this special case. You cannot relax at the pool when there‘s hammering all afternoon. Fully understand the tough times these days, the island is pretty much dead now. But a more transparent advertising would’ve been nice to avoid irritations for such an expensive holiday. It overall has the character of a 4-star hotel, I don’t understand the 5-star category.”
