A private beach with pergolas two outdoor pools a hot tub and plush Heavenly Beds welcome our guests to The Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta which also has a spa on-site and provides complimentary parking. The beachfront Westin Resort & Spa has 280 rooms in a series of buildings with various heights surrounded by lush tropical foliage. The spacious accommodations feature balconies colonial Mexican furnishings plush Heavenly Beds and flat-panel TVs. Some rooms include ocean views. The resort has two palm-lined outdoor pools a swim-up bar outdoor hot tub three lighted tennis courts kids' club luxury spa steam bath sauna souvenir shop concierge desk gym and business center. This is one sweet stretch of sand: the private beach has pergolas and offers water sports for additional fee. Dining includes a seafood/steak restaurant Mexican restaurant with a rooftop terrace and indoor bar with seasonal live entertainment. Pets under 40 pounds are welcome for no additional fee. The resort charges a fee for beach amenities access to the fitness center tennis spa and kids' club and high-speed internet service. Self-parking is free of charge. Westin Resort & Spa is about one-and-a-half miles south of Puerto Vallarta International Airport and four miles north of Puerto Vallarta.

“If you are reading these reviews don’t be impacted by what they have to say. If you are reading reviews about people being “disappointed” it’s probably because they complain about everything and expect 1000% service. This hotel was not only great, but the staff is what makes this place worth it. They are very accommodating, caring, and will put your needs first. This hotel was very secure and the staff really knows how to make this feel like a true “vacation spot”. I 1000% recommend this spot because of how amazing it is. Some pros: you are close by to so much, food is good, great pools, awesome beach and with great reliable vendors, and very kind people overall. PS… if you’re gonna complain about the construction that is being done , I recommend not coming here. I personally don’t think it’s loud at all and the workers are respectful about space..at the end of the day they are constructing to make this place better.”

“This is a nice resort! Located near the tail end of the marina block of hotels. I think immediately heading in, you can tell that this is an older building, and it is showing its age. The staff were all very polite. What I didn't like about the resort fee is that some of the benefits are 'per stay' even though you pay the resort fee 'per night'. Kind of cheap if you ask me. The room itself had a nice view, but there is a definite musty smell, especially when the ac kicked on. The fridge in our room was also not working. The balcony area is clearly not cleaned property and you could still see remnants of food or other junk stuck to the furniture. And there's a step onto the balcony, so watch out, especially little kids. Bathroom setup is also a bit weird, the window is one of those folded wooden windows, and it doesn't close fully, so light and sound escape easily.
This is a great hotel for bringing little kids though, because of the beach area and the activities. Our son made a friend and they had fun all over the resort for the entire time we were there basically. The beach is also enclosed by some rocks, so the waves are not as big. You could see some people snorkeling there. They also have daily activities for families and kids, including a pinata party, which is the highlight of any kids day. Sadly the food they serve was average at best. The pizza was basically raw, and same with the nachos. Just not very good at all. The burger was okay.”
