“The room was clean and standard, save for poor soundproofing. I could hear every activity in the surrounding rooms and hallway. My interactions with the staff make me unlikely to return. The shuttle took a while to arrive at the airport. The driver didn’t utter a word before heading to a car rental place, then looping back to pick up at another terminal. The entire process took at least 30 minutes, probably longer. It’s understandable, but a heads up that other stops will take place makes a difference, especially after a long international flight. If I’d known the process would take over an hour for a property located 10 minutes from the airport, I would have called a cab just to get some sleep. Once we arrived at the hotel, there appeared to be one person checking people in while a man sat on a stool and did nothing. After a while, another employee came and helped check people in. The employee who checked me in was rude and somewhat snippy. Although I checked in after 3 pm, I wasn’t offered as much as a cookie. After a number of nights with the loyalty program, you’re typically offered a bottle of water and choice of additional points or a food and beverage credit. It doesn’t seem like much, but when you practically live out of hotels and most of your money goes towards stays, you appreciate little things. The next morning, I came down to ask for silverware so I could eat food I had with me. Only spoons were available in the pantry area. Again, I was surprised by the rudeness of the front desk staff. The lady working actually rolled her eyes and she’d have to go to the back to get it, then she told me to go to the breakfast area and wait another 5-10 minutes until they opened. In most instances, it wasn’t what the employees said, but how they said it. I’ve spent at least 300 of the past 365 nights in hotels all around the world, and this property had by far the rudest, least helpful staff I’ve encountered. I was also exhausted after a night of waking up each time people in surrounding rooms moved. Upon checkout, I requested a cookie and was told they weren’t available until after 3 pm. I’ve literally eaten them for breakfast on the way out the door at other doubletree locations, like the one in Colorado Springs, so maybe this is new or specific to this location? At least this employee was nice about it. I mentioned that I wasn’t offered a water during check-in, so she offered one. The ones working the afternoon shift when I checked out seemed to be the only people who were polite. Almost everyone I encountered seemed to be resigned to doing the bare minimum with a scowl on their face. I received a discounted rate, but even that was too much. I’ll only return if I have to.”

“Outstanding customer service. We had to get the shuttle for 4am and the shuttle normally doesn't start til 5am. The manager called the driver who showed up early for us. Hotel was very clean as well. Comfortable beds.”
