Our experience was awful. The staff was nice but for two nights we had kids yelling and staying up till 2am next door -Their parents conveniently down the hall. Running slamming doors. For the price,it was terribly disappointing.Perhaps families should stay in one part of the hotel so others who are expecting a more relaxed adult weekend won't have to keep calling security. We paid over $700 and the desk tried to give us a $30 breakfast gift card???? Really?I was also told we could not get a discount or refund because we booked through a third party?? Beware.We were so excited for this weekend and it was a total bust.

Apenas um lobby sensacional, bonito e colorido, repleto do antigo charme americano com o moderno. Excelentes bolinhos de baga azuis quentes e café no restaurante. Cama confortável para dormir e temperatura. Mas por que apenas um sabonete pequeno para um quarto de dois? Sem comodidades extras no quarto.

Just a sensational, beautiful, colorful lobby filled with old American charm with modern. Great warm blue berry muffins and coffee in restaurant. Comfortable sleeping bed and temperature. But why only one small soap for a room of two? No extra amenities in room.

Okay so let me just start by saying, yes it’s a nice historic hotel. Staff is friendly. HOWEVER. The AC in the room barely works. Feels like baby’s breath at 60 degree level we were still sweating. The street noise is literally another level of loud… all night long. Pillows were very uncomfortable. The rooms smelt like mildew. The walls to the historic side are also paper thin, you can IMAGINE what you hear.No room service still bc of covid… even though the entire staff isn’t wearing masks.Before staying here really make sure it’s what you want.. I asked for an updated room they said this was it. Unfortunately I didn’t realize the new tower was completely closed, and was sent fo the historic side with modern shadows is what I was told when I was checking in.

Ok, Fourth of July, 20 stories up, 600a night. You gotta try this! We were facing the Grand River, having a great time, no crowds, we had ac, no bugs. Aw man pretty cool floor to ceiling windows . A few fireworks went above us, but for the most part everything was right in front of us. If you do this make sure you ask for a room facing the River. Had dinner at ROAM.

Very cozy, spacious, comfortable hotel. From the moment we arrived the doorman set the pace with a friendly smile, and professional assistance. The front desk clerk just as friendly and helpful! The room was SUPER clean and smelled super fresh I thought I was home( BEST HOUSEKEEPING EVER)!! The towel smelled so nice with a fresh pleasant scent, I didn't want to finish drying off .the only two minor things..the room fridge was set to such a low setting, it would not keep anything cold..barely cool..I could not figure out how to adjust it.... second: the desk lamp electric outlet sockets were too lose or not working ...glad I had a 9 ft extension cord with me!! Overall this hotel is by far a very nice facility. I would HIGHLY recommend it! The room offered plenty of space, very silent, with a very comfortable too!! And finally, the facility was neatly designed o portray a grandeur everywhere... not a cookie cutter building we have all grown accustomed to. This facility has lots of character!! A real pleasant experience!!! I hope I get the chance to come back and experience it again.

Neat old historic hotel. Lobby was lavishly decorated in old fashioned mansion style. Inside the hotel were some high end dining and drinking establishments (example: $80 steak). Room was not bad, but was decorated with eclectic old furnishings and bland artwork. One unusual thing was excessive mirrors, in the bathroom, that unnecessarily allow a frontal view of yourself on the toilet. Make sure to ask exactly which parking structure to use, to have parking included. (The person we talked to on the phone didn't know, and we want to the one right behind the hotel at first, which was the wrong one.) The man at the lobby check in desk showed us the correct one to use. Overall, not a bad place to stay overnight if you can get a good price.

The Amway was a fantastic stay! The location is perfect - at the center of everything in Grand Rapids. Drew was courteous and delivered excellent customer service! He checked us in and generously took the time to share several dining options with us (making recommendations as we provided him with what we were looking for during our trip). When my room was made available for later in the evening, he hand-delivered the keys to me in my friend's room later that afternoon. Parking is conveniently located across from the hotel (connected via a sky bridge), the junior king suite was phenomenal (with a view), and we loved having a Starbucks attached to the building. My colleagues have planned to stay there for their subsequent visit this coming week. Highly recommended!
