“The major problem with this hotel is the noise. We stayed on the side of the hotel facing the plaza, which is filled with people at all hours of the day and night. The true problem came at 3:30 in the morning on May 7, when a group of drunk men were making extremely loud noises outside our window. Our windows were closed and we were wearing earplugs, yet could still hear them clearly and were unable to sleep at all. I went to the front desk to complain, but the hotel was unwilling or unable to control this situation. The general attitude I experienced from the staff was: "if you want quiet, you should not stay in this hotel." The receptionist said something to that effect to me the day I checked in (Friday afternoon, May 6) when I asked to switch rooms to the side facing the street. There are an abundance of hotels in Montmartre and in Paris generally. I see no reason to stay here.”

“The room is too small with no/limited wardrobe space. Every day we had to ask for milk and tea at reception as this was never left for us. We first went to this hotel 34 years ago and wanted to come back to re-kindle memories but was disappointed overall. The position of the hotel is fantastic but I think we will look for different accommodation/hotel when we come back.”
